Alba Zacaj

Of Dorchester, died suddenly on June 22, 2024.

Alba was born on April 16, 1994 in Ponte San Pietro, Italy, where she was raised until she moved to Boston in 2004. She was affectionately known as “Solare” because she always had the brightness of the sun in her eyes and was always smiling.

She attended Boston Latin School and graduated with high honors in 2013. She then attended Brandeis University where she majored in Italian Language and Literature and minored in Art. After achieving a Bachelor’s Degree from Brandeis, she attended Boston College to earn a Master’s Degree in Italian Language and Literature. She then remained at Boston College, where she taught with the Language Arts Department. Alba also tutored at Laboure Center in South Boston for several years.

Alba leaves her beloved parents, Sokol Zace and Enina (Ndoni) Zace, as well as her loving brother, Eric Zacaj, all of Dorchester.

She also leaves her grandparents, Kocho and Geraldina Ndoni of South Boston.

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Alba’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

A graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester, on Thursday, June 27th at 10:00 A.M.
