Bird, both of ME, Joseph T. Bird and Nicole D. Bird, both of Saugus. Son of Helena P. (Hardy) Bird of Dorchester and the late Albert H. Bird. Brother of Patricia M. Bird of Dorchester, Nancy R. Spry of South Weymouth, Mary O. Bird, Robin H. Bird, and Mark H. Bird, all of Dorchester. Devoted grandfather of Niamh M. Hagan. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. Visiting hours Monday 5-9 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Veteran Vietnam War - U.S. Navy. Late retired maintenance mechanic at the South Boston Postal Annex for over 24 years. Interment in Bourne National Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
