Alice Margaret (Kowalski) Miller

MILLER, Alice Margaret (Kowalski). Died peacefully in her sleep on December 24, 2021.

Alice was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on June 10, 1936, to Stasia (Sabina) and John Kowalski. She was blessed with 62 years of marriage to Frank E. Miller who passed away in July 2020. They raised their three daughters Carolyn, Marnie and Cathie in Plainville, Massachusetts until retiring to Onset, Massachusetts in 1989. Alice worked in secretarial work until starting her own real estate company Property Lines Real Estate and Frank was a self-employed builder.

Alice leaves behind daughters Marnie Vassallo of Melrose and Cathie Bailey and her husband Gregg of Dorchester. Alice was a loving grandmother to Nicholas Vassallo of Melrose and to Anna, Nora, and Finn Bailey of Dorchester. She also leaves behind her brother Edward Kowalski of New Bedford and her sister-in-law Sandra Kowalski of Abington. She was predeceased by sister, Helen Wisneski, her sister-in-law, Bonnie Kowalski, her brother, Hank Kowlaski, and her beloved first-born daughter Carolyn Miller. She also leaves behind four nieces, three nephews and numerous friends.

Alice and Frank became grandparents later in life than they hoped but treasured every minute with their grandchildren. She and Frank enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing Scrabble, and just enjoying the view in Onset. Alice was an extremely talented artist, doing numerous portraits for coworkers and friends and continued to paint until just recently. Alice and Frank enjoyed finding treasures at yard sales and trying their luck at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She also loved playing cards with her friends and family, sharing a lot of laughs. She had a very quick wit and a positive attitude no matter what life's challenges she faced. Everyone she crossed paths with became a dear friend.

Alice's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the devoted staff at the Atrium at Faxon Woods in Quincy for their compassionate care.

Family and friends will honor and remember Alice's life by gathering for a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Road, Dorchester, on Friday morning, December 31, 2021 at 11 A.M.

Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wareham.
