Of Concord, passed away on March 27, 2025 at the age of 84 years.
Ann was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Mary Bridget Miller of Watertown.
Never far from her large family, Ann is survived by four of her children; Clare Pessia Yannacopoulos, BJ Pessia, Michael Pessia, and Charles and his wife Rosemarie Pessia; ten grandchildren; Elijah, Alanna, Caroline, and Carly Lauren Yannacopoulos, Emma Kenny-Pessia, Sophia Pessia, and Jacob, Zachary, Cole, and Emma Pessia; and one great-grandson, Isaac Pessia. Two of her seven siblings, Ethel Miller and Marilyn Tripp, also survive her.
Her beloved nieces and nephews were a constant in her life and rounded out her extended family.
When all were together, the house was filled with laughs, story-telling, and reminiscing.
She was predeceased by her eldest son, Paul Pessia, and by her siblings, James, John, Philip, and Charles Miller, and Mary Aiello.
Her loving companion of many years, Al Petrola, sadly predeceased her as well.
A graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Watertown, Ann enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Boston University in the Purchasing Department. There she met Al, and made many close friends.
A community of friends have traveled through life with Ann since young adulthood, sharing simple meals and games nights with lots of chatter and lots of laughs. These friends sustained and buoyed her, and made the hard times less so.
Ann was a founding and long-term member of the Heritage Pool and Racquet Club in Concord. She spent many happy hours there when her children were young as they honed their athletic skills, and enjoyed reminiscing about those days.
Ann was especially proud of her hole-in-one at the Oakley Country Club.
The staff of Benchmark at Billerica Crossing took particularly good care of Ann over the past three years, which was a comfort to her family.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ann’s life by gathering for a visitation in St. Patrick Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown, on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Watertown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org.
