Beloved mother of Stephen H. James of Toronto, Canada.

Cherished “Ima” of Lily James.

Daughter of the late Gerald F. and Helen M. (McColgan) Hughes.

Loving sister of Gerald F. Hughes, Kathleen A. Manna, Theresa Hughes, Stephen P. Hughes, Christine F. Burke, Michael R. Hughes, Bernadette M. Connolly, M. Laurette Hughes, Joseph C. Hughes, Francis X. Hughes, Peter A. Hughes, and the late Mary Ellen Burke and John J. Hughes.

Anne is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Anne’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, on Wednesday morning, January 31st, at 10:00 A.M. 

Interment will be private.

Anne was a retired customer service representative for the phone company for 45 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.act.alz.org
