PARKES, Bernice C. (Chapin). Of South Boston, died September 12, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Parkes.

Loving mother of Liz and her husband Jack Reilly of Cape Cod, Diane Parkes of South Boston, and Michael Parkes of South Boston.

Devoted "Grandma" of Jo Jo Reilly, Rebecca and her husband Kenny Cavanaugh, Megan Mahoney, Matthew Mahoney, and Jackie Parkes.

Sister of the late Teddy Chapin.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bernice's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday morning, September 16th, from 10 A.M. to 12 noon.

Interment will be private.

Bernice was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially trips to Foxwoods. She loved taking walks, reading, and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She will be dearly missed.
