MAWN-MURRAY, Catherine L. In Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, died January 8, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Paul J. Murray.
Loving mother of Paul J. Murray Jr. and Donald P. Murray, both of Braintree.
Daughter of the late James Mawn and Bessie (Clancy) Mawn.
Sister of James and his wife Judy Mawn of Milton, and the late Grace and her husband John Vaughan, and Mary "Mae" and her husband Paul Healy.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Catherine was a graduate of St. Gregory's Grammar School and St. Gregory's High School, and she received an Associates Degree from Boston Business School. She was a retired Executive Assistant at Goodall Rubber Company in Braintree, and more recently she worked as an Executive Assistant for the Vice-President of Nursing at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester for over 20 years. Catherine especially enjoyed her many trips to visit her family's home in Glenfarne, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, and spending time with her large extended family in Cape Cod.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, on Tuesday, January 12th, at 10 A.M. Followed by a private burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
