WYSE, Catherine (Tobin). In Dorchester, formerly of Cahir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, died August 30, 2020, age 95 years.
Beloved wife of the late James A. Wyse.
Loving mother of Kathleen W. and her husband David C. Cole of Billerica, Clare P. and her husband Ret. Capt. Robert M. Flaherty BPD of Dorchester, Retired Sgt. Det. James J. Wyse BPD and his wife Ret. Ellen M. Wyse BPD of Dorchester, Mary and her husband Charles J. McCarthy of Milton, Patricia A. and her husband Retired Sgt. Peter B. Morris BPD of Weymouth, Peggy and her husband Michael W. McLaughlin of Dorchester, and Tracy E. Ryan BPD and her husband Lt. Gary J. Ryan BPD of Dorchester.
Sister of Ellen "Nellie" O'Connell of Ireland, and the late Margaret "Peggy" Slattery, Nora English, Mae Flynn, James Tobin, Bridget "Babs" Kitterick, and Maurice Tobin.
Sister-in-law of Catherine "Kacky" Macheras of Quincy, Mary McGann of Randolph, Edmund "Ebbie" Wyse of Dennis, Margaret "Peggy" McCarthy of Quincy, and the late Josephine "Josie" Megnia.
Cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren and the late Brian Patrick Wyse, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, here, in the United States and in Ireland.
Catherine was a late member of the Tipperary Association. She was an avid baker, knitter, and gardener. She especially enjoyed sharing her freshly baked Irish bread and lovingly crafted Irish knit sweaters with her large family and many friends.
A private visitation, private Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, and a private interment in New Calvary Cemetery will be held.
