SCHMITZ, David J. In Brockton, formerly of Dorchester, died November 28, 2018.
Beloved son of Joan M. (Moar) Schmitz of Brockton and the late Joseph W. Schmitz.
Loving brother of Thomas W. Schmitz of Rockland, Joseph C. Schmitz of Quincy, Kenneth M. Schmitz of Brockton, Douglas W. Schmitz of Whitman, Brian P. Schmitz of Dorchester, and Laurie A. Schmitz of Quincy.
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember David's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Friday, November 30th, from 4-8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
David was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to help at risk children and families by donating to Boys Town, 100 Flanagan Blvd., P.O. Box 5000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
