Dorothy M. (Klein) Skwierawski, of Dorchester, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in The Carney Hospital. She was 91.
'Dottie' was born on July 1, 1930 in Boston a daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Samsel) Klein. A lifelong resident of Dorchester she worked as a bookkeeper for George Smith & Sons in South Boston until retiring.
She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She loved her annual vacations to the family camp in Sumner, Maine and was happiest when amongst her family and friends. In later years as her health declined her three sons did all they could to keep her in the comforts of her home and caring for her needs. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sitting in the yard and feeding all the birds that visited.
Loving mother of Joseph F. Skwierawski and his wife, Joyce of Squantum (Qunicy), James A. Skwierawski and his wife, Diana of Taunton and Thomas M. Skwierawski of Dorchester; her granddaughter, Emily R. Skwierawski. Former wife of the late Bogus Skwierawski. Sister of Thomas Klein and his wife, Georgia of Falmouth and the late, Lorraine Skwierawski, Isadore Klein, Richard and Robert Klein; also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dottie's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Sunday, March 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 655 Dorchester Avenue, South Boston, on Monday March 14th at 10 A.M.
Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery.
