Of Dorchester, formerly of Muckinagh, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, Dudley died on July 13, 2026, after a brief illness at the age of 70 years.
Beloved husband of Noreen M. (Walsh) McDonagh for 45 years.
Loving father of Nuala McDonagh of Weymouth, Robert and his wife Gina McDonagh of Canton, and Ann Marie and her husband Bryan Joyce of Braintree.
Devoted “Daido” of Owen, Avery, and Michael McDonagh, and James and Nora Joyce.
Son of the late Robert and Ann (Grealish) McDonagh.
Loving brother of Maureen Mulkerrin and her late husband Paraic of England, Colimin and his wife Maire McDonagh of Braintree, Teresa and her husband Gerard Delaney of Ireland, and the late Paraic McDonagh and Annie and her husband Coley Mullen.
Brother-in-law of Bridie McDonagh of Ireland, Martin and his wife Mary Beth Walsh of Dorchester, Festus Mulkerrin of Braintree and his late wife Winnie Mulkerrin, and the late Mary Walsh.
Dudley is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dudley’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 243 Neponset Ave., Dorchester, on Saturday morning, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
Dudley was a retired proud member of Laborers Union Local #223 for 45 years. In addition to his love for his fellow union members, he especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, attending many of their sporting events.
