CORREIA, Eugenia "Mae" (Pires).

Of Dorchester, formerly of Brava, Cape Verde, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, July 14, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Jose "Joe" Correia.

Loving mother of Jose "Jay" Correia of Dorchester, Celestina "Celeste" (Correia) Bala of Foxboro, Carolina "Millie" Correia of Dorchester, Marcelino "Chin" Correia of Dorchester, Joao Jose "John" Correia of Brockton, Jose Roberto "Robert" Correia of Dorchester, Jose Manuel "Nay" Correia of Brockton, Joseph Nicholas "JJ" Correia of Dorchester, Joseph Domingo "Mingo" Correia of Dorchester, Adelina "Lana" Correia of Dorchester, and Jose "Nay Nay" Martinez of Dorchester.

Sister of Maria Moreira of Roxbury, and the late Jose Gomes, John Gomes, and Marcelino Gomes.

Eugenia was also survived by 36 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Eugenia is remembered as being quiet, but very strong. She kept a house that was very welcoming, always open, and where everyone went for a good meal or just her caring touch.

Family and friends will honor and remember Eugenia's life by gathering for visiting hours in St. Patrick Church, 400 Dudley Street, Roxbury, on Friday evening, July 16th, from 5-8 P.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, July 17th, at 10 A.M.

Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.
