FORTES, Flora (Spinola). In Dorchester, formerly of Brava, Capre Verde, died peacefully at home on April 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Antonio Fortes.

Loving mother of Joao Spinola of cape Verde, Yolanda Andrade of France, Isaac Barros of Dorchester, Linda Barros of Dorchester, and Eneida Barros of Dorchester.

Sister of the late Benvinda Barbosa.

Aunt of Barbara Borges and Jose Spinola.

Flora is survived by 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, many cousins and dear friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Flora's life by gathering for a Funeral mass in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 14 Cushing Avenue, Dorchester, on Tuesday, April 13th, at 10 A.M.

Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan.

Flora was affectionately remembered as a true "Matriarch" and "Mother" to many. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church for 3 decades and longtime volunteer at the food pantry.
