Francis J. "Frank" Daly Jr.

Frank was a 1966 graduate of Charlestown High School. He was a master electrician and proud 53-year member of IBEW Local #103. He loved his trade and enjoyed working on many extraordinary projects from the Alaska Pipeline to the Big Dig.

He was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and adventurous spirit.

He had a passion for photography and classic cars…and we are sure he is looking for a way to import a Lincoln into Heaven!

Beloved husband of Patricia Daly. Loving Father of Patrick Daly and Franceska (Daly) Wahlberg and her husband Darrin. Cherished son of the late Rita (Keymont) Daly and the late Francis J. Daly, Sr. of South Boston. Brother of the late Donna Daly, the late Robert Daly (Carol), Dianne Dunphy (Thomas), William (Mona), Dennis (Madelene), Thomas and Debra Daly-Cahalane (Terrence). Loving Grandfather to Shannon, Ethan, Jami and Jackson. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.

Frank’s favorite movie was Casablanca, and he loved attending the annual showing at The Brattle Theatre on Valentine’s Day. In his memory and spirit, may we suggest that you watch Casablanca with your loved ones this Valentine’s Day. We know he would also want you to always live life with a smile, joy in your heart, spending time with family and friends, going on great adventures and taking many, many photographs! And for Heaven’s sake, buy a Lincoln!

Family and friends will honor and remember Frank's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth Street, South Boston, on Friday morning, February 24, 2023 at at 11:00 A.M.
