Frank D. Fisher III, age 66, a devoted husband, loving father, and beloved friend, was called to be with the Lord on April 26, 2026, in Lincoln, Massachusetts, following his courageous battle against cancer; with his daughters and cherished friends by his side.
He was born on October 5, 1959, in Walton, New York, the youngest of four to Frank D. (Gump) and Bertha (Krum) Fisher Jr.
Frank attended Oneonta High School where he graduated in 1978.
After high school Frank proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed in Hawaii, Japan, and Quantico. His service reflected his dedication, strength, and deep sense of duty, values he carried with him throughout his life.
On September 9, 1995, in Walton, Frank married the love of his life, Suzanne Vargas Buerger. Together they built a family, and in 1999, they moved their young family to Oneonta, where they continued to raise their two children.
Frank was a man who loved to work with his hands and took pride in helping others. He was always willing to lend support wherever it was needed, and his generosity and dependability left a lasting impression on those around him.
He will be remembered for his resilience and the quiet but lasting impact he had on those around him. In his free time, Frank loved attending concerts, traveling, and playing golf—simple pleasures that brought him joy and connection with others.
He was predeceased by his mother, Bertha Fisher; his father, Frank D. Fisher Jr.; his brother, Randy Fisher; his sister, Deborah Fisher; his niece, Stephanie MacKillip, and wife; Suzanne Fisher.
He is survived by his daughters, Maraya and Jada Fisher; his son, Dustin Bowker; his best friends, “The Daves”; special persons Tony, Carol, Anthony, and Michael Antonelli. As well as countless close friends and family.
Frank’s life, service, and memory will be honored and carried on by those who knew and loved him.
At Frank's request, there will be no calling hours or service. Instead, there will be a celebration of life for all those who were touched by his kind soul. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Love you forever & always!
