MILLER, Frank E. Formerly of Plainville and Onset, MA, died peacefully at Sunrise of Braintree on July 20, 2020, age 92 years.
Beloved husband of Alice M. (Kowalski) Miller for 62 years.
Born on January 23, 1928 in Plainville, MA, he was the son of the late Frank and Louise (Swiszcz) Mielauskas.
Frank graduated from Plainville High School in 1945 and was a proud WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy. Frank worked as a carpenter's apprentice and later started his own construction company, building houses and additions. He and Alice retired to Onset in 1990. Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, going to Foxwoods, bowling, watching wrestling, playing Scrabble, crossword, and Sudoku puzzles.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his daughters Marnie Vassallo of Melrose and Cathie Bailey and her husband Gregg Bailey of Dorchester.
Frank also leaves behind four adored grandchildren; Nicholas Vassallo, Anna Bailey, Nora Bailey, and Finn Bailey.
Frank was predeceased by his daughter, Carolyn Miller, his sister Sophie Fredericksen, and his brothers William Mielauskas and Albert Loomis.
Frank's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the devoted staff at Sunrise Senior Living in Braintree and to Ascend Hospice for their compassionate care.
A private visitation, Funeral Mass, and burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Wareham will be held.
