RATTA, Frank O. Of Roxbury, died February 18, 2021, age 95 years.
Beloved husband of Eleanor S. (Figaratto) Ratta.
Loving father of Douglas and his wife Kathy Ratta of Kingston, Joseph Bavis of Boston, Frederick and his wife Ann Ratta of South Weymouth, and Karen and her husband Phil Yuska of Winchester.
Devoted "Papa" of Samantha Kane, Lauren and her husband Scott O'Neill, Nicole Bavis, Michaela Bavis, Joseph Bavis, Bailey and her husband Jeffrey Davidson, and Devan Ratta.
Great-Papa of James, Willow, Violet, Lex, Luke, Mason, and Matilda.
Brother of Samuel and his wife Mary Ratta of Everett and the late Rose and her husband James Letterie.
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Frank proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Radio Radar Gunner during the Pacific Theater of WWII. He was a retired Personnel Manager for Deran Confectionary Company for 40 years. Frank was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
There will be a private Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, Roxbury, followed by a private interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with military honors.
