SPARKS, George A. Jr. In Dorchester, March 13th. Beloved father of George A. III "Giggy" Sparks of Braintree, Lynda M. Volkringer of SC, William F. Sparks of Quincy, James S. Sparks of Dorchester, Sandra L. Anjilivelil of Kuwait, and the late Brian E. Sparks. Brother of Averill Edmund Sparks of Quincy, Claire Connolly of Canton, Evelyn O'Brien of Arlington, Paul Sparks of Attleboro, and the late Catherine Bucavalis and Elaine Kelley. Devoted friend of Joan A. Needham of Dorchester and her seven children. Survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home,1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Thursday 4-8 P.M. Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of Blessed Mother Teresa Parish, Friday morning, March 17, at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Veteran WWII-U.S. Navy. Retired custodian City of Boston for over 35 years and former employee of the South Boston Postal Annex. Member of the Knights of Columbus, Mt. Pleasant Council # 98. Donations in his memory may be made to Sisters of Charity Retirement Center, 125 Oakland St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
