Helen T. (O'Brien) Connolly

Of Dorchester, died peacefully on October 12, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Martin C. Connolly.

Loving mother of Patricia A. Faria and her husband Joe Faria of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Margaret E. McKeen and her husband William McKeen of Dorchester, Martin C. Connolly Jr. and his partner Trisha Hardiman of Dorchester, Teresa H. King and her husband James King of Quincy, Aileen M. Connolly and her wife Sasha Tyler of Dorchester, and the late John J. Connolly and Mary C. Pitts.

Mother-in-law of Marilyn (LaMothe) Connolly of Quincy and Paul J. Pitts of Jamaica Plain.

Daughter of the late John O’Brien and Winifred (Craigin) O’Brien.

Sister of the late Winifred M. Hegarty and her husband Hugh “Jack” Hegarty.

Devoted “Nana” of Melissa Wong, William McKeen, Megan Pitts, Paul Pitts, Matthew Pitts, Sarah King, and Emily Faria.

Great-grandmother of Ethan and Devin Wong.

Helen is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her cherished dog Cora.

Family and friends will honor and remember Helen’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ambrose Church, 240 Adams Street, Dorchester, on Friday morning, October 18, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be private.

Helen was a longtime resident of Savin Hill and proud St. William’s Church parishioner. She was a graduate of Boston Clerical Business School and achieved an Associates Degree from Roxbury Community College. She was a retired employee of the Boston Fire Department for 25 years. She was a longtime volunteer at St. William’s Grammar School and St. William’s Parish.
