Henriqueta DaRosa Gomes

Henriqueta Gomes passed away Friday morning, October 9th, 2026, in her Dorchester home surrounded by love. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends, all joined together to spend their last moments with her. Born September 16th, 1929, in Fogo, Cabo Verde.

Vovo Queta, as all of the kids would call her, carried with her a light, a warm sense of love and elegance in every room that she stepped into.

Every person who has ever come across her, has shared the same words as one another. She was the kindest heart, the most caring soul.

Even in her weakest moments, she prayed for strength for her loved ones.

Preceded by Geronima Pires and Pedro DaRosa, Manuel DaRosa, Marcelina DaRosa, Jose DaRosa and Claudimiro DaRosa Jose DaRosa (son). survived by Maria Barros, Etelvina DaRosa, Manuel DaRosa, Luciano Gomes, Fatima Gomes , Maria West. 22 grand children, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephew and loved ones.

Family and friends will honor and remember Henriqueta’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P. M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick Church, 400 Dudley Street, Roxbury, on Tuesday morning, October 13, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.

Following the burial, her family invites everyone to join them for a repast at 108 Highland Street in Roxbury.
