James J. Griffin

Of Boston, died suddenly on May 27, 2025.

Beloved son of the late James J. Griffin and Lucy (Cowley) Griffin.

Loving brother of Lucy A. and her husband Charles J. Mikalauskis of Dorchester, and the late Mary Griffin.

Uncle of C.J. Mikalauskis of Halifax and Jake Mikalauskis of Dorchester.

Great-uncle of Shea, Griffin, Cameron, Coley, John Jr., Kayla, and Ryan Mikalauskis.

Great-great-uncle of Gavin Mikalauskis.

Family and friends will honor and remember James’ life by gathering for a visiting hour in St. Cecilia Church, 18 Belvidere Street, Boston, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery, West Roxbury.

James was a retired employee of the Shubert Theatre in Boston for many years.
