SCHMITZ, Joan M. (Moar). Of Brockton, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 30, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Schmitz.

Loving mother of Wayne T. and his wife Kathleen Schmitz of Rockland, Joseph C. Schmitz of Quincy, Kenneth M. and his wife Leona Schmitz of Brockton, Douglas W. and his wife Debra Schmitz of Whitman, Brian P. and his wife Jody Schmitz of Dorchester, Laurie A. Schmitz of Quincy, and the late David J. Schmitz.

Sister of the late Shirley Hall, Elizabeth "Betty" McCaffery, and her twin sister Jean Keegan.

Joan is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joan's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Wednesday evening, August 4, from 4-8 P.M.

Interment will be private.
