Loving brother of Nora M. Doherty of West Roxbury, Rosaleen Coppola of Roslindale, and the late Mary B. Deteso, Edmund E. Doherty, and Ann C. Coughlin.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Thursday morning, March 15, at 9 A.M.
Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of Blessed Mother Teresa Parish at 11 A.M.

Veteran Korean War - U.S. Marine Corps.
Retired supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue for over 30 years.
John was a graduate of Boston College High School and Boston College.
Interment in New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.
