Son of John J. and Catherine A. (MacGillivray) O'Connor of Dorchester.
Brother of Michael J. O'Connor of Carver, Kathleen A. Kisiel, Mary A. LaPorte, both of Quincy, Daniel W. O'Connor of Dorchester, Eileen M. Sheehan and Patricia M. Loney, both of Quincy, and the late Brian R. O'Connor.
Devoted grandfather of John M. and Ryan P. O'Connor, and Catherine R. Reinhart.
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Monday 3-7 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M.
Relatives and friends invited.
Veteran Vietnam War - U.S. Army.
Late retired employee of the City of Boston as the former Director of the Roslindale Community Center.
John was an accomplished artist and children's book illustrator.
Interment private.
