O'Connor, John J. "Oakie". In Dorchester, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, March 19th.
Beloved husband for 65 years of Catherine A. (MacGillivray).
Loving father of Michael J. and his wife Jean O'Connor of Carver, Kathleen A. and her husband Richard Kisiel, Mary A. and her husband Arthur LaPorte, all of Quincy, Daniel W. and his wife Audrey O'Connor of Dorchester, Eileen M. and her husband Thomas Sheehan, Patricia M. and her husband Patrick Loney, all of Quincy, and the late John G., Brian R., and baby Patrick O'Connor.
Brother of the late Dorothy McKenna, Evelyn O'Connor, and Alfred O'Connor.
Survived by 21 grandchildren and the late Michael C. LaPorte, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Thursday 4-8 P.M.
Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of Blessed Mother Teresa Parish, Friday morning, March 23, at 10 A.M.

Veteran WWII - U.S. Navy, PT Boat Gunner's Mate, South Pacific Campaign.
Late retired brakeman for the New Haven Railroad and lock operator for the MDC at the Charles River Locks.
