Lillian was born on December 14, 1921 in Boston to Alexander and Louise MacDonald. Her fierce independent spirit, warm and approachable nature, inquisitive mind, and sharp wit were evident early in her life as a young girl and carried through her long life, into her final days. Lillian raised 4 children in Dorchester, while working at the Jordan Marsh department store in Boston. Her dedication to family and her work ethic were her hallmarks, characteristics that she passed down to her children. Lillian was a 25-year resident of 1000 Southern Artery in Quincy, where she was very involved in the community and theater troupe, making many life-long friends. Lillian also loved to read and learn, sparking her desire to see the world and experience other cultures. Lillian traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, the United States, and Puerto Rico. Lillian's unbridled curiosity, coupled with the open mind with which she approached all new situations and people, led to her living an enriched and full life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
