Linda M. (Ingemi) Donovan

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Linda Marie (Ingemi) Donovan on November 3, 2026.

 Linda leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the generations of family she held so dear. The Daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Ingemi.  

Beloved wife of Joseph “Dunny” Donovan. Linda was preceded in death by her dearly loved son Joey Purcell . 

Survived by her children Ronald Purcell, Sharon Purcell, and Kurt Donovan. She was a loving grandmother to Jordan, Joseph, and Andrew, and a proud great-grandmother to Gianna Purcell.

Linda was a devoted sibling to Joey, Ronald, Rocky, Yogi, Rocco, Carol, and the late Richie Ingemi and Reo Todesca.

She also leaves a large extended family that keeps growing.

Linda found great joy in cooking, bringing family together around the table, enjoying a game of bingo, and trying her luck at the slot machines. But above all else, her greatest happiness came from her family. The love she had for them was at the center of her life, and nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by those she loved.

Family and friends will honor and remember Linda’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Monica Church, 331 Old Colony Avenue, South Boston, on Thursday morning, November 12, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
