Linda Jean Steigerwald

Of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died after a period of declining health on May 5, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Steigerwald.

Loving mother of Eddie Steigerwald and his husband Todd Butkevich of Dorchester.

Sister of the late Edward and his wife Florence Horn.

Sister-in-law of Deb Steigerwald and her partner Chuck of Pittsburgh.

Cherished aunt of Amy Cieslak of Pittsburgh.

Family and friends will honor and remember Linda’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Linda was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She met her late husband, Robert, and got married at the age of 19 years. She then worked at the Heinz Company factory in Pittsburgh for her entire career. In Pittsburgh, she frequented Howard’s Tavern, where she was known and beloved by all. Linda moved to Boston in 2021, to be close to her son Eddie, and fell in love with the city. She enjoyed travelling, and especially enjoyed her 2015 trip to Hawaii with Eddie, Todd, and his family. 

She will be dearly missed.
