Lorraine S. (Chaplik) Flaherty

Of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and South Boston, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 9, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Flaherty.

Loving daughter of the late Francis T. Chaplik and Susan G. (Malone) Chaplik.

Sister of the late Francis T. and his wife Claire Chaplik.

Lorraine is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews, all of whom she loved dearly and with whom she enjoyed spending time.

Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Monday morning, June 15, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Lorraine was a retired head clerk for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Welfare for many years.
