Louise M. (Cooper) Rowan

Of Dorchester, formerly of Cambridge, passed peacefully on December 25, 2023.

Former wife of the late Edward J. Rowan Jr.

Beloved mother of Ann Rowan of Quincy, Edward J. Rowan of Quincy, and Kathleen Burke BPD and her husband Kevin Burke of Dorchester.

Cherished “Nana” of Paul Rowan, Jacquelyn Sheppard, Aidan Burke, Brendan Burke, and Calum “Pickles” Burke.

Great-Nana of Kaylee O’Keefe, Madison Rowan, Daniel Rowan, Arya Rowan, Austin Sheppard, and Harley Sheppard.

Sister of Anna Raymond of Florida, Joanne McCarthy of Kingston, and the late William Cooper, Edward Cooper, Jacquelyn McKay, and Peter Santasky.

Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Louise’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Friday morning, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 251 Neponset Avenue, Dorchester, at 12:00 noon.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Louise was a retired administrative assistant at Verizon for 17 years. She was a longtime resident of Savin Hill, and later Keystone Apartments in Dorchester. She will be affectionately remembered as a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
