GROCHAL, Maria Julianna (Paterok).

Of Dorchester, formerly of Germany, died peacefully at home on January 19, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Czeslaw Grochal.

Loving mother of Miroslaw A. and his wife Maggie Grochal of Weymouth.

Devoted "Babcia" of Brittany Grochal and Derek Grochal, both of Weymouth.

Sister of Barbara Ciba, Felicitas Gradacki, and Teresa Masny, all of Germany.

Family and friends will honor and remember Maria's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday evening, January 27, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 655 Dorchester Avenue, South Boston, on Friday morning, January 28th, at 10 A.M.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove cemetery, Dorchester.

Maria emigrated to the United States 50 years ago and settled in Dorchester with her husband Czeslaw. She worked at Colonial Meat Packing Company and later as a translator for Boston Medical Center.

She will always be remembered as being very generous. She wouldn't let you leave her home without something. She will be sorely missed by her family and neighbors.
