Marie E. "Snooky" (Griffin) Devine

In Dorchester, died unexpectedly, October 30, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late John P. “Jack” Devine.

Loving mother of Michael P. Devine of Dorchester and the late Susan M. Devine.

Devoted “Nana” of Patrick Devine, Kerrin Devine, and Kelsey Devine.

Great-grandmother of Ava Grace.

Daughter of the late Martin F. and Mary T. (Hill) Griffin.

Sister of Catherine T. “Kate” Flaherty of Dorchester, William and his wife Linda Griffin of Quincy, and the late John and his wife Irene Griffin.

Sister-in-law of Mary Blake and Thomas Devine.

Marie is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, on Thursday morning, November 6th at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Marie was a proud graduate of St. Margaret Grammar School and Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School, Class of 1958. She was a retired employee of St. Margaret Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Carney Hospital for many years.
