Mary Joan (DiMaura) Davison

d. April 10, 2016

Davison, Mary Joan (DiMaura).
Age 94 years, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016, surrounded by loving family after a long battle with Alzeheimer's Disease.
Born on August 5, 1921 to Paola Di Maura and Sebastiana (Blanciforti) of Revere, Massachusetts. Mary is predeceased by parents and brothers Gaetano (Thomas) and Sebastian.
Educated in Revere schools, she graduated from Dorchester High School and attended Bentley College.
On June 24, 1944, Mary married the late William "Bill" A. Davison, and together they partnered in a family operated commercial real estate business. They settled their family in Hingham, MA and later moved to Orleans on Cape Cod and wintered in Naples, Florida.
Mary loved to travel, entertain, and cook. An original "foodie," her greatest joy and passion was cooking for and feeding her family and friends. There was always an extra space (or two or three) set at the dinner table for anyone who happened to stop by.
She is survived by her son William and wife Patricia of North Andover, and daughter Marjorie and husband Peter Boyce of Boston, five grandchildren; Matthew, Jessica, Kerri, Mark and Will, and four great-grandchildren; Emily, Timothy, Sebastian, and Caeden.
A visitation will be held in St. Cecilia's Church, 18 Belvedere Street in Boston's Back Bay, on Thursday April 14 at 10 A.M.
Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M.
Interment will be private.
In keeping with her lifelong value and passion for feeding the hungry, and in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Community Servings, 18 Marbury Terrace, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
