Maureen Meade Griffin

Lifelong resident of Neponset, Dorchester, died March 22, 2023.

Cherished wife and best friend of Robert Kerril Griffin for over 40 years.

Devoted daughter of the late James P. Meade (Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare) and Mary A. (Queally) Meade (Doolin, Co. Clare).

Beloved sister of Peter G. and his wife Roseanne Meade of Florida, Cathleen Meade of Dorchester, Patricia M. and her husband William Meahl of Florida, James P. and his wife Terri Meade of Dorchester, and the late Eileen M. and her husband James Daily.

Sister-in-law of Mary Anne and her husband James Murphy of Dorchester, Kathleen and her husband John Fitzgerald of West Roxbury, and James and his wife Nancy Griffin of Peabody.

Maureen was a loving, supportive, and encouraging aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and the late Amy Daily.

She was also a caring friend to numerous cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Maureen’s life by gathering for a Funeral mass in St. Ann Church, 251 Neponset Ave., Dorchester, on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
Maureen was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ann’s Church in Neponset. She was a proud graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Class of 1962, and received an Associates Degree from Aquinas College. She had a long career at the M.B.T.A. She was an Executive Assistant in the office of the General Manager for 20 years.
