Michael J. Flaherty

Of Dorchester, died September 8, 2023.

Beloved son of the late Patrick Flaherty of Inis Mor, Co. Galway, Ireland, and Mary (Athy) Flaherty of Co. Mayo, Ireland.

Loving brother of Margaret T. and her late husband Armando Serino of Dorchester and the late Thomas Flaherty.

Brother-in-law of Sandra Flaherty of California.

Uncle of Margaret Hendricks, Maureen Serino, Donna Serino, Thomas Flaherty, Diane Grier, and Patricia Ann Baker.

Survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mike’s family would like to acknowledge Roger Croke for being a good friend.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mike’s life by gathering for a visiting hour in St. Margret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Rd., Dorchester, on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Mike was a retired employee of Walsh Movers, and a former member of the Columbia Yacht Club in South Boston.
