Beloved husband of the late Sheila (Hickey) Hegarty.
Loving father of Mary T. and her husband Michael J. McColgan of Dorchester, Noreen F. and her husband Peter Rackauskas of Quincy, Michael Hegarty of Quincy, Kevin J. and his wife Elaine J. Hegarty of California, and John D. and his wife Christine D. Hegarty of Milton.
Uncle of Pauline M. O'Leary of Melrose and the late Eileen F. Camelio and Maureen B. O'Leary.
Survived by 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of Blessed Mother Teresa Parish, Saturday morning, January 19, at 10 A.M.
