Michael was raised in St Brendan’s parish in Dorchester and was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Class of 1996. He was a proud 4th generation member of Pipefitters Local #537 for 18 years and longtime Friend of Bill W. Michael was the youngest in his family and had three “big” sisters who will forever think of him as their little brother.
As the youngest, and the only boy, he held a special place in the hearts of his parents and his siblings. Throughout his life, Michael held many titles but the one he loved and was most proud of was Dad. He lived for his children and would do anything for them, and cherished every minute he had with them.
Michael was also a loyal friend and a mentor to many. Willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed or to share his own experiences as a way to help others who may be struggling. He had an easy way about him and made the people he interacted with feel good. He had a great sense of humor reminding us all not to take ourselves too seriously. Michael was very creative and talented which showed up in so much of what he did whether it was his work as a pipefitter or teaching himself to play the drums in his basement. His life journey has not been an easy one but he faced his challenges with true courage and determination, always putting his best foot forward. He tried every day to live better, to be better.
Michael will be missed by so many, but we will all take comfort knowing that he is at peace as he is welcomed with open arms into the Kingdom of Heaven by his loving mother, Jesus, and the many friends and family members who have gone before him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Keep the Faith.
