Patricia A. (Stanton) Melanson

MELANSON, Patricia A. (Stanton). Of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Beloved daughter of the late William P. Stanton and Margaret E. (McEvoy) Stanton.

Beloved wife of the late Paul W. Melanson for over 66 years.

Loving mother of Paula and her husband Kevin O'Brien of Braintree, Linda and her husband Walter Burke of West Roxbury, Geraldine and her late husband Wayne Partello of Norwood, Beth and her husband Michael Lehane of Bridgewater, and the late William "Legsy" Melanson.

Sister of Joan M. Stanton of North Weymouth, Sister Geraldine Stanton SND de Namur of Dorchester, and the late William P. Stanton.

Survived by 10 grandchildren, and the late Ronald Harris and Daniel Melanson, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for a visiting hour in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Rd., Dorchester, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 P.M.

Patricia was a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of America (Court Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal). She was so proud to be "OFD", originally from Dorchester, and her favorite day of the year was Dorchester Day.
