Retired Lieutenant Paul R. Finn, B.F.D.

Of Dorchester, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 5, 2026.

Beloved father of Kevin Finn of Duxbury, Erin and her husband Michael Taylor of Canada, Maureen Finn of Rockland, and Karen Finn of Dorchester.

Son of the late Frederick L. Finn BFD and Gertrude E. (Cavanaugh) Finn.

Loving brother of Katherine A. Finn of Dorchester, Ret. Frederick L. Finn BFD and his late wife Dawna of Swansea, Diane R. and her husband Reid Kimball of Milton, and the late Thomas L. Finn BFD.

Grandfather of Sarah, Riley, Cameron, and Shane.

Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Rd., Dorchester, on Thursday morning, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain.

Paul was a proud member of the Boston Fire Department for over 41 years. He served as a member of the Boston Firefighters Charitable Association for many years. He was a longtime volunteer and member of the Boston Fire Museum, and member of the Boston Firefighters Liar’s Club and Boston Sparks Association. He also worked as a bus driver for Yankee Bus Lines for over 40 years, where he travelled all over the region, and enjoyed it immensely.
