FLAHERTY, Paul J. of Dorchester, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 8th, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 62 years old.
Beloved husband of Ann Marie (Rizzo) Flaherty.
Loving father of Teresa Flaherty and her fiancé Ronan Hanley of Co. Galway, Ireland, and Thomas Flaherty of Dorchester.
Son of the late Coleman F. and Mary A. (Folan) Flaherty.
Brother of Coleman Flaherty of Milton, Mary Anne McDonald of Arlington, Noreen O’Shea of Fremont, NH, John Flaherty of Dorchester, Joseph Flaherty of Marshfield, and Michael Flaherty of Hampstead, NH.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish on Friday morning, June 13th, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.

Born on June 15th, 1962, Paul lived a life of quiet courage, humility, and a deep love for his family and community. He was a retired member of the Carpenters Union Local #327. He was a proud former member of St. Peter’s Band, St. William’s Band, the Boston Crusaders, and the Boston Crusaders Senior Drum & Bugle Corps. He attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and Don Bosco High School before joining the Carpenter’s Union.
