Of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester, died suddenly on June 24, 2024.
Beloved husband of Mary E. Moloney King.
Proud and loving father of Tracy A. King of Dorchester, Elizabeth A. King of Dorchester, and Anthony P. King Sr. and his wife Malena King of Milton, and lifelong friend of their mother Pauline A. King of Dorchester.
Cherished “Papa” of Keira Antonella Cantor and Anthony Paul King Jr.
Son of the late John F. King Sr. and Theresa M. (Monticone) King.
Brother of Edward and his wife Kimberly King of Hingham.
Uncle and Godfather of Charles and his wife Brigid King, and their daughter Nelle, of Hingham.
Nephew of Evie Monticone of Texas.
Brother-in-law of William and his wife Karen Moloney, and their son Michael Moloney, and Susan and her husband Linn Swensen.
Paul is also survived by many loving cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Road, Dorchester, on Saturday, June 29th, at 12:30 P.M.
Interment will be private.
Paul graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1968, and was recently inducted into their Hall of Fame for his football accomplishments. He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Curry College. For many years, he worked as a medical sales associate and later as a business associate for the National Association of Government Employees. Most recently, Paul was a substitute teacher at Weymouth High School. He has been a longtime youth activist. Paul has always been very active in sports. He played football for the Park League, playing for Billy’s Cowboys and the New England Colonials. He especially enjoyed coaching and refereeing. He has coached youth and adult sports, and has even coached and refereed Division 1 athletes over the years.
