Peter was the beloved husband of the late Judith A. (Kowalewski) Gootman.
Loving father of Alex and his wife Kaitlyn Gootman of Dorchester.
Cherished "Grandpa" of Trinity S. Gootman, and a soon to be grandson.
Brother of Alan Gootman and his late wife Diane Gootman of Connecticut.
Brother-in-law of Paula and her husband Steve Sullivan of Wrentham.
He is also survived by survived by several nephews and many dear friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Peter's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday morning, January 2nd, from 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon.
Interment will be private.
