Peter Joseph Reardon, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Born on November 17, 1952, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Peter spent his formative years in Dorchester before making Medford, Massachusetts, his home for the past 30 years, where he built many lasting friendships.
Peter proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a young man.

Peter was the beloved son of the late Mary F. Reardon and Leo A. Reardon. He was predeceased by his siblings Carole A. Caeran, William Reardon, and Joseph Reardon, all of Massachusetts, and Janyce Reardon of Florida. He is survived by his siblings Michael Reardon, Patricia Reardon, and Maryellen Reardon, all of Massachusetts, and James Reardon of North Carolina, formerly of Massachusetts.

Known for his quick wit, constant smile, and great sense of humor, Peter spent much of his younger years at Jimmy's Tavern and JC's Bar in Dorchester, where he formed many lifelong friendships that endured through the decades.
In his final years, reconnecting with family became deeply important to him. Peter loved the Lord and was at peace as he prepared to go home.

The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to Ed Brown, whose friendship, care, and compassion over many years meant more than words can say.

Peter will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his laughter, faith, and the joy he brought to all who knew

Family and friends will honor and remember Peter by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Tuesday May 26, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
