Randall J. “Butchie” Tobin Jr.

Of Dorchester, Savin Hill, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 6, 2026, after a brief illness.

Beloved son of the late Randall J. Tobin Sr. and Maureen F. (O’Hara) Tobin.

Loving brother of Patricia and her husband Robert Guerrini of Foxboro and Oldsmar, Florida, Janice and her husband Mark Boyle of Milton, and John and his wife Donna Tobin of Cape Cod.

Cherished uncle of Kevin and his wife Elizabeth Boyle, Daniel Boyle, and Connor Tobin.

Great-uncle of Cooper and Callie.

Butchie is survived by many cousins, especially the O’Hara clan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Butchie’s life by gathering for a visiting hour in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Rd., Dorchester, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.

Butchie was a retired employee of Filene’s and Macy’s Department Stores for over 52 years. He was a proud recent recipient of the Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association Community Award, and will be fondly remembered for his multiple visits to the Daily Market and McKenna’s Restaurant in his beloved Savin Hill neighborhood.
