Of Dorchester, died suddenly on June 25, 2025.

Beloved son of the late Edward L. and Lucy C. (Daniszewska) Sweda.

Loving brother of Mary Ann Sweda, Catherine J. Sweda, and Edward L. Sweda Jr., all of Dorchester.

Robert is also survived by many loving cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Robert’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, on Tuesday morning, July 1, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.

Robert was a graduate of Boston College High School, Class of ’81, and Northeastern University, Class of ’86. He was a retired employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield for over 25 years. He loved writing screenplays and short stories. He was an accomplished yoga instructor and even learned sign language. He loved following all of Boston’s sport teams, especially the Bruins.
