Loving son of Ruth J. (Holmberg) Gates of Dorchester and the late Warren R. Gates.
Brother of Warren R. Gates Jr. of Dorchester, Richard M. Gates of Quincy, and William J. Gates of Dorchester.
Survived by several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Thursday 5-8 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 7 P.M.
Relatives and friends invited.
Interment private.
