Slawomir M. Szymanski

SZYMANSKI, Slawomir M. Of Sherborn, formerly of Chicago, Illinois passed away on August 27, 2021.

Slawek was born in Wolka Mladzka, Poland on January 8th, 1966. He immigrated to the United States in 1989 and became involved in the Polish youth ministry in Chicago at the St. Hyacinth Basilica where he met many of his lifelong friends. Slawek was a devoted husband and father. He also enjoyed fishing, mushroom-picking and caring for his chickens. He loved to entertain and was a great dancer. Some of the family's favorite memories with Slawek include camping and trips to Florida. In his professional career, Slawek worked in the production and quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals.

Slawek is survived by his wife Monika (Wiktorzak) Szymanska and four children Ola, Piotr, Jas & Marysia; his sisters Jolanta Cygan, Katarzyna Bienkowska & his brother Michal Szymanski (all of Poland).

Slawek's passing is preceded by his father Bernard and mother Kazimiera (Lech) Szymanski.

Family and friends will honor and remember Slawomir's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5-8 P.M.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 655 Dorchester Ave., South Boston, on Thursday morning, September 2nd, at 10 A.M.

Interment will be private.
