Sylvia M. (Vazquez) Espada

ESPADA, Sylvia M. (Vazquez). Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, November 18th.

Sylvia was born on September 21, 1943 in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico.

She especially enjoyed her music and cooking for her large family.

She is the wife of Jorge Espada.

Loving mother of Sylvia Matos of Dorchester, Reynaldo Reyes of South Carolina, Carmen and her husband Tommy Cherry of North Carolina, Nilda Reyes of Dorchester, Rosa Colon of North Carolina, and Ricardo Espada of Dorchester.

Daughter of the late Agapito Vazquez and Rosa (Colon) Vazquez.

Devoted abuela of Gerald, Marcus, Anthony, Shanice, Daniel, Sonny, and Ricardo.

Sylvia is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and several brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Sylvia's life by gathering for calling hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Wednesday, November 22nd, from 4-8 P.M.

Funeral service will be held Friday, November 24th, at 11 A.M in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
