McCarthy, Thomas F. He died peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was 77.
Thomas F. McCarthy was born on November 15, 1940 on John Street in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland.
Son of the late Thomas and Nora (Foley) McCarthy.
Tommy was a proud player for the Sraid Eoin (John Street) football club and Dingle CLG, which was formed when Na Piarsaigh and Sraid Eoin clubs joined in 1967. 'Ar dheis De go raibh a h'anam'.
He was also a longtime boatbuilder in Ireland before immigrating to Boston in 1985 where he continued to practice his carpentry skills.
He is survived by many dear friends, both in Ireland and the Boston area.
Friends will honor and remember Tommy's life by gathering for calling hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Tuesday, November 21st, from 6 to 8 P.M.
Burial will take place back in Tommy's hometown, with his mother, in St. Brendan Cemetery, Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
