Mrs. Victoria J. (Zawacki) Holland, of Dorchester, died Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Accent Care Hospice Residence in Milton. She was 77.
Victoria was born October 18, 1944 in Boston a daughter of the late Polish immigrants John and Mary Theresa (Lada) Zawacki. Raised in Dorchester she was a graduate of Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School and then earned her nursing degree at Boston City Hospital School of Nursing in 1963.
She worked many years as a licensed practical nurse for Marian Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation, Neponset Nursing Home and lastly at Harbor Lights Nursing Home before retiring 10 years ago.
Victoria was a girl scout leader for both her daughter's and later granddaughter's girl scout troops. She loved working in her garden, a good game of bingo and a shopping excursion.
Wife of the late Albert F. Holland, she leaves her children, Karen E. Holland of Dorchester, Donna M. Holland of Whitman, Jill Kristine Bolger of Marshfield and John D. Holland of East Boston; grandchildren, Rebecca-Madori Holland, Zachary-Jacob Holland, Alyssa Michelle Holland, Juliet Elizabeth Bolger, Sophia Mary Bolger, Olivia Ashlyn Bolger; her sister, Janet Zawacki of Dorchester and the late Stephen Zawacki and Walter Zawacki; her cousin, Ronald Rajewski of Hyde Park; dear friend of Maureen Kielty of Marshfield, Joanne Matthews of Raynham and Phyllis Lopez of Dorchester; also survived by nieces & nephews and lastly, her much loved dog, Greta.
Family and friends will honor and remember Victoria's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday, March 17th, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish on Friday morning, March 18, 2022 at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
